Smartphones, Tablets, and the Presidential Election

As the 2012 presidential election nears and early voting begins in a handful of states, many voters will wonder what gadgets they can take with them into the voting booth. The answer? Just about anything.

The Voting Information Project has worked with several partners to create mobile applications and other mobile-friendly tools that provide all the necessary information a voter needs to be prepared to cast a ballot on election day. That way voters can easily consult the information from within the voting booth from their smartphones or tablets. Voters will find information from who is on the ballot to what ballot initiatives are happening in their districts to what kind of ID they need to have.
