Voting location and election availability
Having trouble finding your voting location using the Voting Information Tool? Here’s what you should know about our election coverage:
Why voting locations may not be available yet
Voting locations can change from one election to the next, so to ensure our data is accurate, we work with election administrators to publish the most up-to-date information. This means that information is often available around 2-4 weeks before an election. In other words: we might not have election information for your address just yet!
We cover many elections, but not all of them
We aim to make data available for general elections in federal years and as many statewide elections as possible. So, we may be publishing data for your state’s primary election or governor’s race, but we might not have information about a city council or school board election.
